Correspondence with Franz Werfel, 1942.

Concerns a contribution by Werfel to the magazine. In the context of the popular response to Werfel's novel The Song of Bernadette, Aswell requests a piece from him expressing his faith. He provides her with a copy of his speech "Can we live without a belief in God?" and suggests that the magazine use a condensation of it; after he is sent a draft version, Werfel comments on it and requests certain revisions.
